  • Won a Gold Medal at the 30th World Chess Olympiad in Manila, Philippine in June 1992.
  • Won the women’s Nationals Chess Championship in 1980, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987,1988,1995 and 1997.
  • Represented Sri Lanka for the World Chess Olympiad in Manila, Philippine in 1992 & Yerevan, Armenia in 1996
  • Represented Sri Lanka for the first Asian Women’s Chess Team Championship in Singapore in December 1995.
  • Represented Sri Lanka for the Asian Women’s Chess Championship in India in 1981,1987 & 1996.
  • Won the Maya Chiburdanidze challenge trophy in 1981, 1982 and 1983.
