First & Only Chess Olympiad Gold Medalist & 10 times Women’s National Champion in Sri Lanka
Lanka Chess Foundation together with Anatoly Karpov Chess Club of the Russian Centre organized a special Simultaneous Chess Exhibition Tournament at the Russian Centre Auditorium, to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of winning the Chess Olympiad Gold Medal by our ten times Womens’ National Chess Champion, Woman Fide Master Suneetha Wijesuriya.

Madam Anastasia Khokhlova, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Russian Federation and the Director of the Russian Centre in Colombo graced the occasion as the Chief Guest together with Mr. Buddhapriya Ramanayake, Chief Executive Officer of the Russian Centre as the Guest of Honour.
At this Simultaneous Exhibition Tournament WFM Suneetha Wijesuriya played with 25 players at once and within five hours she win all the games.
