Lanka Chess Academy International (Pvt) Ltd

The very special Chess Institute started in January 2015 to give a good foundation to the Sri Lankan chess buddies. It's named as Lanka Chess Academy International (Pvt) Ltd (LCAI) and WFM/FI Suneetha Wijesuriya is the Managing Director & the Principal and the other Director is Mr. Kapila Withanage. 

 

  

  

 

LCAI had their 1st branch opening at Star Kids Montessori in Kiribathgoda in early January 2015 started classes under National Instructor, Nishantha Withanage on Saturday evenings.

After this inaugural centre LCAI managed to open 14 chess branches to teach Basic lessons under the syllabus made by Women Fide Master & Fide Instructor Suneetha Wijesuriya who is the only Sri Lankan Lady who won a Gold Medal in World Chess Olympiad

In mid-2015, LCAI added another 3 branches and now active 17 branches in Western Province

LCAI - Head Office branch inaugurated in June 2015, under the management of Development Instructor C.M.Withanage and started classes every day except Sundays and it gave a good strength & live to the students in leading schools in Colombo.
